Hold on

Hold on even if it’s only to one word, even if it’s only to one sentence.

Hold on even if it’s only for one dream.

Hold on through the trials and tribulations, give it all you’ve got.

Hold on because if you don’t your forgotten ambitions will return to haunt you.

Hold on even if you’re the only person with a vision of what lies ahead.

Hold on even when it feels like you’ve already let go.

When the time comes and you’ve made it all the way through. Search for someone who is barely holding on. Be kind and gentle to them because your words may be the only thing they can hold on to.

  1. I am too emotional today. Like, I literally shed a tear reading this. Like, I’m thinking that, no matter how hard life can be, no matter how clueless I could become, I always need to HOLD ON, never give up, because someday, I would look back at this moment and I’ll tell myself that “I did it” “I didn’t give up” Here I am now. Wow. Thank you for this.

    1. I agree and I’m looking forward to the “I did it” moment yoy described.
I wrote this after I hit a wall in my writing. I got rejections from 2 writing contests it stings…
I’m going by with the intention that as long as I’m trying and putting myself out there something good will come out of it. I’m glad you liked it.

      1. Yes. Rejection can be quite depressing, like, you are doing your best but sometimes, it’s not enough, you’re not enough. But I think and I believe that the worst moment in your life could be the key to truly finding the strength to get up, try again and succeed.

      3. Yes. I do that all the time. Just earlier, I submitted three of my posts to Young blood Inquirer, even if it gets rejected, at least I tried.
