Nobody is going to be your hero,” keeps echoing through your mind as you recall your misfortunes. You look around you and see everyone matching, nobody talks about their feelings they are on auto-pilot. During moments of weakness, it makes you wonder if you should change to match your surroundings.

It can feel like you are taking so many steps back while everyone is aiming forward. You want to be strong, move on and smile. You want to engage in all activities, in all your plans and you want to be happy.

Instead, you embrace your loneliness; and sense yourself hiding in the shadows trying to process your feelings. The one thing you don’t truly realize is that you are not swallowed in the shadows; you are sitting in the shade, taking a warrior’s rest. A warrior’s rest from all the memories you have to process to get to the peace of mind you so badly crave. A rest from society’s fake masks which only mirror plastered feelings and pretentious smiles.

Maybe you’re not supposed to be fine that fast and there’s always a fact to remember that nobody is resilient or immune to life’s downfalls. There is a purpose to embracing all the heartaches and losses.

The outcome is peace. A guarantee when the time is right you will carry your past in a locked and safe place in your heart.

Realizing inner peace and reaching yourself is an accomplishment in its own. That’s when you truly realize the ones in front of you are the ones you already passed once before around the track. Enjoy that shade😉. Great positive post.
