Silence is suffocating,
It slowly makes our own inner critic stronger,
And we become hostages,
In believing every negative aspect about ourselves.
Silence diminishes worlds of hope.
It weakens our faith,
And kills relationships.
So take courage and pride in speaking out.
We speak out to remember what we believe in,
And to stand bolder than ever.
We speak out the truth about our darkness,
To remind the ones around us that they’re not alone.
We speak out because somewhere in this world a voiceless person may hear our call.
And they may come out of their shell to speak out.
We speak out because no matter how strong self doubt is…
Hope has always proved to be much stronger.
