Their Loss

She was too focused on the love she had lost,
On the memories, energy, and days that she’ll never get back.

Until one day she saw things from the opposite perspective,
And realized they had lost more,
They had lost someone in this world who wanted to protect them.

They pushed away the one person who loved them enough,
To worry about their safety,
Someone who dreamt about their future.

They lost someone who would never have turned her back on them,
Until their extreme hurtful actions forced her to.

  1. Sometimes we get invested in other people, we tend to lose our perspective, our values and self worth and it requires a good jolt (often painful ones) to sober us up. Make us re-calibrate ourselves back to our old ways, our natural state of peace and calmness. Ironically, isn’t that who they were attracted to in the first place? Hard lesson for the heart and mind both. Some of us shhh… me, have hard heads and soft hearts, and it takes repeated lessons to learn such things. 🙂

    1. Yea, I’m like you I guess. I wanted to believe it could be different soon…Such things have been happening for years. I always made excuses for them, but recently(Before things exploded) it had gotten to a point where I’ve been feeling like I’m nobody and I don’t matter.

Such things happen gradually through repeated lessons. When our self worth is involved it’s definitely worth each jolt and painful lesson ♥

When people develop tunnel vision, they lose focus on the things around them and can only seem to see the issues in front of them. Without turning their heads and seeing the rest of the surroundings they lose focus on what’s going on around them. It’s like they say, when you sleep you always miss something. Sometimes there’s no cure for tunnel vision but time, but you can’t wait and hope they’ll turn to look your way for you to feel significant when you already are lovely. If one continues to drive in circles, it only makes the trip to nowhere longer. You go straight to the ones you feel comfort and love from because that’s what you deserve.🌹. Anyone who pushes you away, that is their loss.

      2. Just saw a quote that I liked…”If you have to choose between me and someone else, please pick them.”

      3. This is why I never compete in relationships. If I don’t stand out on my own, it might be they are short sighted and it’s not the quality kind of relationship I seek.

      4. If we find ourselves competing then it’s just not meant to be…let them go. Hope you’re doing well and staying safe 😀

      5. Yes, I am thank you for asking. I agree, if I have to jump through hoops on command, I’m just a pet to a master. Stay safe my friend.
